When a dog joins our family, his health is our top priority. Each of our dogs is examined by a veterinarian that tests them for any illnesses. They are then neutered/spayed and receive all necessary vaccinations to make them suitable for adoption. A microchip is implanted in each dog’s shoulder, just in case he/she ever gets lost.
While caring for these dogs, we do our best to learn about their temperament in order to assist us in arranging the best possible match with a prospective family. They are also groomed and placed on a nourishing diet to allow a healthy and happy life.
While we do our best to place every dog that comes to us, there are unfortuante instances where he or she is unadoptable for any of a variety of reasons. Rather than put them down or send them out to be somebody else's problem, we keep them and provide the best home possible for them. As such, we are always looking for volunteers and donations to keep our shelter running. |
